Overview

Working Holiday (417) and Work and Holiday (462) visas let young adults from eligible countries holiday in Australia while funding their trip with short-term work. Second and third year extensions are available with specified work.

Eligibility requirements

  • Passport from an eligible country (417 or 462 list)
  • Aged 18–30 (35 for some countries)
  • Sufficient funds (approx. AUD 5,000 plus fare)
  • For 462: education and English requirements, plus letter of support where applicable
